Hello everyone, I bought this VFT 3 weeks ago, it came with just bare roots. At the first week all most of it's traps started turning black so I cut them off. The plant grew small traps but did not open, I noticed lots of algae started to grow on the surface of the LFS substrate, So I decided to repot and add perlite on top . The rhyzome looked healthy and had long health y roots tho, Now a week later the leaves look like they are drying out and new traps still turning black.

Planted in 50/50 perlite LFS , 16 hrs grow light. I bottom water every other day to make sure it doesn't get to much water

I too see new growth, so it's definitely not dying. Give it some time to settle in and grow a bit. Ideally, it would get some "rest" this winter (dormancy) and go outside in the spring. Outdoor growing is the easiest way to keep flytraps alive for the long term. As tommyr said, "These are not houseplants."

Thanks Matt and Tommy, here is an update after a month. I repotted them in new 50/50 LFS, perlite. Now I see black spots that cause new and old traps to dry out and die. Is this fungi? I drowsed it with daconil hope it goes away. Can I do anything more?

That looks more like physical trauma to me than any sort of fungus. And sometimes traps just die as they start to emerge from the crown. Nothing to worry about unless you can see something wrong. However, the plant with the pea gravel (or whatever that is on top of the pot) looks to be suffering from mineral burn or some other sort of stress. Perhaps it is just recovering from a repot, but you might want to pour some distilled water over the top of the pot and measure the PPM of the runoff water to see if it is high in minerals.
