There’s a little orange mushroom growing at the base of my flytrap. Think I’ll leave it and see what it does.

Must be different genetics because all my other traps grow close to the ground. All typicals.

That flytrap deserves a blue ribbon. Do you know the cultivar?

It was a typical from FTS. Here’s what it looked like in Feb 2017. Here is the flower stock I cut and planted exhibiting the same characteristics.

Cut the flower stock in February 2018 and put it in peat and perlite on a South windowsill and forgot about it but kept it moist. Can’t put anything outside in South Dakota until May except radishes, potatoes and onions. In April I pulled it up thinking it was dead. To my suprise it struck so I transplanted it in LFSM and put it outside in full sun. It exploded in growth in June. I never feed it but every once in awhile a tiny trap is closed so it’s catching some tiny gnats or something.

Uh. So, 2 years later, what happened to the mushroom?
