AOL 4.0 cds with free internet trials. Good old 56k modem and over an hour to download a couple mb. You had to commit to whatever song you wanted to download lol.

My mom wouldn't pay for AOL so I had to use Netzero with an ad banner that took up 1/3 of the screen. That was after I shoved it away to the corner edge of the screen.

Hey now, let's not be ugly. :D I programmed Cobol and actually did a good bit of work on Y2K. Oh yeah, and my first modem was 110 baud. No K, no M, plain old baud.

Ah, Y2K. What fun! I was working on a 3000+ module online system that was 95% assembly language. Y2K gave us the wonderful opportunity to work our butts off for a year, rack up lots of unpaid overtime, miss both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day celebrations due to baby sitting duties, and finally be rewarded by the general public saying "So what was the big deal? It was all hype to sell newspapers!" Good times.

Good choice optimus, let's keep this neutral and professional. I'd hate to have to inform you that I PM'd you.
