I've been lurking for a few weeks and learning a lot thanks to everyone here.

I quite like learning.

I'm on a bit of a quest to learn everything.

It's a struggle :)

I've just started on this carnivorous plant thing having had only one Venus Flytrap, and a pitcher plant in a jar when I was a kid (I'm 53 (or so)). The flytrap died, but the pitcher plant lived on for years and filled the large jar to capacity.

Anyway, thanks everyone for the massive amount of information you are sharing. This looks like an awesome forum.

hello and welcome,

i wonder if the sun in australia is better or worse for vft? since it is very high in UV, i studied for 5 years in aussie and every year got a nasty sunburn even when using a sunscreen :oops:
