Hello!

I have some VFT I have gotten for my birthday and are trying my best to keep alive. I want them to be as big as they can possibly be. One is in moss from seller (amazon) indoor and one has some moss in carnivorous soil outdoors. I wasnt sure about the latter but I wanted to grow one outside and inside. Right now the outside plant has a wine glass over it and I am feeding both distilled or reverse osmosis water and they both get their four hours or more a day.

Would love to just say hi to the community and see what you all think of what I have so far! Would love to repot whenever possible now that I have stable indoor and outdoor plant racks.

Congratulations on the two new flytraps! Looks like Joel Garner sent you the one in the net pot. I've seen his video recommending indoor windowsill placement, but I'd highly recommend putting both outside. If left inside without supplemental lighting, it won't do well in the long term.

The one that is outside should not be covered, as that will lead to problems with heat buildup and potential mold or algae problems. I'd suggest just putting them both outside in dappled sunlight for most of the day and let them grow!

A problem I see with the wineglass is that it could overheat. Humidity isn’t very necessary for vfts, but it is appreciated.
