I use distilled water just enough to keep water in the bottom of the bowl throughout the day. I use distilled water to rinse the containers daily to avoid cultivating my own mosquito farm. I use the make due paper towel shade for when the temperature is above 105f. I could use some advice on how to grow them better.

Looks like signs of extreme heat stress. When it cools down, they should recover. It also looks like they might not be getting enough sunlight, but I totally understand how it's hard to balance giving them enough light with the extreme heat.

Maybe you could put them under a 40% shade cloth all day? That way they'd get consistent light all day and it would cut down on the heat they experience quite a lot. A roll of shade cloth can be purchased online or at a local garden store.

Shade cloth definitely helps. I used it this summer when the temp would rise into the 100s and they did signifcantly better with it.

Also in heat like that I wouldn't keep nepenthes out there. Especially if the flytraps are struggling. Nepenthes are a tropical plant. They look like easier species, but if you can put them on a sunny windowsill. They'd do a lot better.

A 40% to 50% shade cloth will let sufficient light through to keep pretty much any CP healthy if it is placed in a spot where the shade cloth gets full sun.
