Q: What was the species of your first nepenthes? What happened to that plant?
A: N. Sanguinea, growing strong.

Q: What was your first hybrid?
A: Ventrats

Q: What’s your favorite species, aesthetically?
A: inermis

Q: What’s your favorite species to grow?
A: Of the ones I am growing currently, Ventricosa. The species that I would like to grow most is N. mollis or a vining sibuyanensis

Q: What’s the most complex hybrid you have?
A: I only have 2 hybrids, ventrata and
sibuyanensis x hamata(looking forward to upper pitchers)
Q: What dream hybrid would you like one day make for yourself?
Lowii x hamata

A: N. sanquinea Orange, made a 5 foot vine that I chopped and now is a clump of four mature growth points, should vine again soon.

A: N x Ventrata

Q: What’s your favorite species, aesthetically?
A: Nepenthes hamata

Q: What’s your favorite species to grow?
A: Drosera capensis

Q: What’s the most complex hybrid you have?
A: Sarracenia x (leucophylla x [leucophylla x purpurea]) x (leucophylla x flava var. Ornata)

Q: What dream hybrid would you like one day make for yourself?
A: Nepenthes x Trusmadiensis x rajah

A: Nepenthes Veitchii, Still kicking.

Q: What was your first hybrid?
A: N. Bellii x Aristolochoides (What could go wrong?) I love the pitcher color on this one seriously. Can't wait for it to mature. (This was actually my first Nepenthes)

Q: What’s your favorite species, aesthetically?
A: Toss up between Veitchii, Macrophylla, Naga (Looks almost sci-fi)

Q: What’s your favorite species to grow?
A: N. Ampularia or Veitchii (Like seeing its development, seed grown)

Q: What’s the most complex hybrid you have?
A:N. Boschiana x {Maxima x [(Stenophylla x Lowii) x (Rokko x Veitchii)]} - Grows RIDICULOUSLY fast. 4 pitchers for every Bellii's one

Q: What dream hybrid would you like one day make for yourself?
A: Veitchii x (Veitchii x Ampularia Black Miracle) - Hope to gain the black and green.

Q: What was your first Nepenthes? What happened to that plant?
A: N. Ventricosa. It’s still alive, but recovering from a basal shoot division.

Q: What was your first hybrid?
A: I myself have not made any hybrids yet, but I got my P. x Sethos first.

Q: What’s your favorite species, aesthetically?
A: I have been in love with N. Bicalcarata since I first laid eyes on that beauty of nature.

Q: What’s your favorite species to grow?
A: Tossup between P. Primuliflora, D. Capensis, and N. Ventricosa.

Q: What’s the most complex hybrid you have?
A: N. x Miranda ((northiana x maxima) x maxima)

Q: What dream hybrid would you one day like to make for yourself?
A: Either N. (rajah x aristolochioides) x (truncata x hamata) or (this is far-fetched and unrealistic, but...) a Heliamphora with the hardiness of a Sarracenia.

Edit: no but really, that does sound like it would be an awesome plant. I am definitely pondering it—imagining if a Leucophylla and macdonaldae had a baby. :geek:

Your list is awesome! Nice collecting. We both have that ventricosa ‘Madja’ complex hybrid, and the spathulata x hamata hybrid. The first is a really awesome looking plant, matured. I look forward to when the one I’m growing fills out. It sounds like you’ve really built upon where you came from with carnivorous plants, so well done!

Your list is awesome! Nice collecting. We both have that ventricosa ‘Madja’ complex hybrid, and the spathulata x hamata hybrid. The first is a really awesome looking plant, matured. The thing I like about that Madja-as hybrid is that it grows pretty fast and it looks so cool for being so easy to grow. Mine is more on the reddish side.
