I've tried to do this on many occasions but without success. what is your best method?

Hi, I have tried pullings but have never gotten them to work.

got one on parva, the rootless one you sent. I accidentally ripped off a leaf, decided to toss it on some agar. Unfortunately, Parva is a little 'softer' than minor, or chimantensis, so it died during the deflasking process.
