Maybe you could repost the pic, circling what you are referring to. I don't see a little leaf, only moss.

Hi everyone,

I just got into growing VFTs about six weeks ago so you'll probably see me hanging around the forum trying to pick up some pearls of wisdom. It gets pretty warm here near Phoenix so I have to be careful with how much heat my plants can stand. I'll send a few pictures as things get underway!

That's a noodle scratcher. It looks white, so I would lean towards it being a weed, nothing important. Pull it or watch it.
I have a fern growing in my Albino Cape pot that I let grow, now I can't get it all out. Every time I pull a friend, another shows up two weeks later.

ohhhhhhhhh. it seems that the white part is a seed or something, and the leaf is hidden beneath the thing. still don't know what it could be though. I suggest to just pull it out.

Okay, seem like a good idea.

nice, a bit on the pink side though i suppose that's cause uv/"blue" light is a bit dim. make sure to rotate the vfts so that when they grow, you don't get a fan-shaped vft and rather grow up.

Surething. How long a day should I keep them under the light?

I place the light and the vft in a better spot next to the window.

What you guys think about the light, should I get a better one?

And what kind of result should I expect? Pros & Con.

I live san francisco California.
The weather can be really bipolar out here.

Good thing I brought a grow light to make up for it

And thank you. I want big red traps though.

You think the mixture of the white/red/blue makes better growth vs having just red and Blue grow light?
