okay, so, the flower stalk apparently has split twice and not just once. the stalk is also around 2 times longer than my other cape that only has 1 head. i still see no new leaves on the split stalks. should i be worried about that? here's a few pictures. i had to crop them since the files were too large. one of them is a regular cape flowering which is shorter. are there any suggestions on what to do with no growth points?

That's pretty cool. Has this happened with this plant before? If so, try to do some leaf cuttings to see if it's something that is passed on. You might have a new variety of Cape.

hmmm... maybe. this is the first time it's ever flowered (it's around 6 months old). since there are no growth points i can't take too many cuttings. i also kinda fed all of the leaves but i'll trey. thanks!

I noticed this with my cape sundews too. The smaller ones basically halted growth with the flower stalk, my albino is a freak of nature though. Threw up 3, divided, and still put out leaves. It's way bigger than my normal cape seedlings though.

update two: shocked to see a cape leaf in one of it's flowers, i think it's because it needs nutrients but the old growth point isn't putting out any leaves. just my guess though. seeds are almost ready, at least the first two flower pods are. also, other cape is throwing out 3 flower stalks, it really halts the growth of leaves, might do flower stalk give-away once they grow a but longer
