I have a problem with algae mildew and other crud floating on top of the water above the utricularia gibba. how do I get rid of it?

I’d just change the water every once and a while.

A mesh net will solve the issue.

the problem with that is that the gibba is at the top of the tank so the infusoria cannot get through!

that would be hard since that means taking out the gibba every week which causes stress
