Hello All,

What do you use for making name markers for your plants. I am trying to get more organized and keeping track of what I have. I have access to laser and sublimation printers so any suggestions for media would be appreciated. Pictures would be good as well.

TIA

Great way to recycle old plastic if it suits. Cut them into markers and boom you're done! And saved a bit of money too.

Milk jugs are great.

Also save deli cups etc as they are good pots.

Dang. Where is junk mail when you need it?

Agreed about milk-jug plastic.

Look for Sharpie Extreme markers, which are UV resistant and won't wear off too quickly. Regular Sharpies will fade outdoors.

Now that you mention it, I haven't received any lately either. I get mostly glossy cardboard ones recently. Maybe they are cheapening up on the junk mail.

So here is my first attempt at labels. The plastic is from a small grain bucket. I bought a set of metal letter dies at Harbor Freight for $10. I stamped the name, covered it with Sharpie marker and wiped off the surface. Not very pretty, yet, but I won't be losing the name any time soon. Also, this is more.legible than my atrocious handwriting.

Not for nothin', but you know you can buy 100 pre-cut ones on Ebay for $5 or $6?
