thanks! (correct me if i'm wrong but they do not need cold stratifycation? i know some require 10 week stratifycation period but these don't. do they?)

(jumping in to help) That's correct, no stratification. Plant immediately on surface of media and keep media moist. Plants benefit from high humidity, but that is not required. For success, feed them as soon as large enough to make that practical but do ot overfeed young plants.

hmmmm... my best camera i have access to is this old mac desktop (even has DVD player!) the pictures may not be too clear. they don't look like bean sprouts or anything, and the seeds are very tiny, but even then i'm still kinda suspicious on if the seeds are real, since they ussualy take weeks to sprout. i know it's not from the growth medium since i use it all the time without any weeds sprouting. I have not used anything other than water and potting medium in the soil it grows in (other than maybe the tinyest bit of air.) the seeds shouldn't be fake since it's from the seed bank, and there's no real point of donating fake seeds, since you don't even make the slightest ammount of money, in fact, you loose about 55c for shipping money. tell me if you see this picture, though again, it's going to be not great quality:

according to the seed packet, they were harvested at 5/20 don't know if the 20 means the year 2020 or the date the 20th, that counts as pretty fresh, right?

I believe that I donated the seeds. 5/20 denotes May of 2020. A more exact date is not appropriate since these seeds came from several different seed pods harvested during that month. I'll start being more explicit with the year when labeling. Ping seeds can sprout quickly but I never measured the time. Lusitanica has become a welcome weed in my collection. I have them in a number of pots. They coexist well with other pings and sundews. They are easy for me to tell from other pings, once they get to about 1". A good choice to get some experience starting pings from seed, almost too easy

I won some p. lusitanica seeds in a giveaway and none germinated for me I also planted some capensis and they took 2 months to germinate, on the other hand, I got some burmannii seeds and I got germination within 2 weeks It seems like I’m bad at germinating really easy seeds.
