Negative. That one grows on caterpillars in the Himalayas, not dead trees in temperate and subtropical forests.

Recap.
1. Grows in temperate and subtropical forests worldwide.
2. We've already established it a carnivorous fungi.
3. Grows on dead trees, especially likes Beech.
4. Edible.
5. Widespread in cultivation.
6. Shares its name with an (alleged) aphrodisiac. (Personally, I don't think it's an aphrodisiac, but I do eat them. Especially with a little lemon and Tabasco)
7. New clue: in the order Agaricales.

Yes! The oyster mushroom.
In all my years as a Chef, I never knew it was carnivorous. I only knew that it was a flavorful mushroom that held up to simmering sauces, such as the Chicken Cacciatore I mentioned earlier.
Mo_carnivore, the torch is yours. Run with it son!
