I’ve noticed a few flower stalks forming over the last few days. Do they usually flower in the spring? How long do I have to see flowers open? Send new to this sort of thing, any tips are appreciated!

The stalks get pretty tall. Mine flowered a little early last year. I think there's a bit until they flower. But they're going to be nice. Could I ask in advance what you're going to do with the seeds? I lost my Frazier to frost last year.

Flowers usually appear this time of year on many Drosera species.
One flower will open each day for a very short period of time.
If you blink, you'll miss it.
Your spatulata flowers should self-pollinate and produce seed on their own.
The seed pods will swell, turn Brown, and crack open.
I harvest them as soon as I see the pods start to crack.

If I’m successful in collecting I could send some to you.

I would really appreciate it. I usually will cut the flower off into an envelope or the stalk if they all go fast enough. Shadowtski would definitely explain better about harvesting.
