It’s not uncommon for new plants that comes in the mail to have some dying/blackening traps. You have to understand that it’s difficult to ship a plant in “perfect” condition for a number of factors. Such as fluctuations in weather, the handling of the post office, and the shipping time. Also, it’s stressful for the plant where there’s also transplant shock. The plant shouldn’t be in terrible condition where it’s completely deformed. As long as the growth point is healthy it’ll be fine.

Yeah when I got my cape from CaliCarni it took a few days for it to get its dew back, just be sure to give it plenty of light.
