I am busy putting together a field guide / information booklet for South African Drosera species and while trawling all available information such as cpphotofinder and other care sheets and civilian science sites, I would like to gather any material possible.

For those who have/had South African drosera, the following:

I would like to ask if you have any photos, flower photos, localities (broad is fine), measurements of: height, width, flower width, stem length etc or the sort of substrates you have grown them most successfully in. I have seen many links to this forum but unfortunately photobucket obscured everything.

Your best resource for this sort of information will be the book Drosera of the World Volume 3: https://www.redfernnaturalhistory.com/p ... ca-africa/

For more detailed location info I would suggest talking to other South African growers, or browsing iNaturalist.

@nimbulan thanks for the link! I actually contacted one of the books authors by chance, it looks really good! I'll see if it's available locally to me.
iNaturalist is my best source of information on the distribution, flowers and structure of the plants. Some are still lacking a little though
