I live in South Florida. My cape sundew has dew in em but the tips are not fully opening and turning black. The temps are in the 70s. I repotted it oct and had it inside below the a.c.. And it was looking nice. But had it on the patio since the temps been cooler last few months and it doesnt seem happy. Are they good for south florida? I had it over 1yr and its been up and down. 2 pics one now and one from after I repotted it in november. Should I repot it again? It forming a stalk.

Doesn't look terrible, but it's not looking the best. I would make sure that it is in good soil, you are watering it with distilled, reverse-osmosis, or rainwater and that it has sufficient light. I would feed it some bugs to help it grow too.

50 percent humidity or more. The humiditidy about the same inside. It gets fruit flies by itself and fish flakes. Distilled water of course. It came back from the roots in august when I had it indoors. The water drains well. I tried it with a sheet cloth and without it. The light is good as it was doing fine before at the same settings. I got a hid viparspectre. I even tried a small fan on the patio. I used perlite this time so it wouldnt compact. Might just repot it again. Can you use to much long fibre spagnum moss and perlite? Maybe I put too much in the pot?
