Hi there,

I used to water my Venus flytraps with boiled water (before I used rainwater), after it cooled down, which ended up removing chlorine from the water and my plants seemed OK. I now use rainwater and it seems to not make much of a difference in growth but is way more convenient. Creating distilled water (with <50ppm) is much harder than boiling water and I've never tried it before but there are some sites that tell you how. As long as the boiled water reads less than 50ppm, then it's fine to use on your plants.

If it will rain in a few days and your plants are a little moist, then maybe wait until the rain comes. If they are too dry, then a little tap water will keep them alive until you get rain. Then maybe flush the pot with some rainwater to wash out all the minerals that might have accumulated.
