Observed something new this morning.
Booted computer and went to log in.
Clicked login on my saved username and password.
Got message "You have exceeded login attempts. You must now face the dreaded Captcha Test". (I may have taken liberty with the exact phrasing.)

Maybe the new system doesn't like Mondays?

Also got something new today. I got an email notification that there was a new entry in a thread: Topic reply notification - "Indoor plant suggestions". I followed the link but the last entry in the thread was from June.

A Spammer posted a new reply to that thread.
They were promptly shown the door and then their post was deleted.
This one was not caused by the upgrade.

I had the same thing happen. I think it was related to a board settings change I made yesterday. Changed it back today. Maybe that will fix the issue.

Yeah, this has been reported a few days ago and confirmed. I'm still waiting for a patch from the software person to fix the issue.

Also, if you want to page through your posts, just edit the URL in the browser window and add the following to the end of the URL:

Code: Select all

&start=15

That will take you to page 2. To go to page 3, add this:

Code: Select all

&start=30

I think you can figure out the pattern to go to page 4

Thank you! It has been a huge job to get everything upgraded to the most recent software, both at the server level and on the Store, Forum and main site.

I know that not everyone is thrilled with the changes and that change can be hard to adjust to, but unfortunately, in this case, it was necessary in order to keep the site viable and safe from malicious activity.

OK, there is now a functional "dark mode" (aka NightStalker mode) that is available on the forums!

Simply log into your account, click the "moon" icon in the top of the navigation bar (not visible on mobile) and you should see a "dark mode" for the forums. See screenshot:

Took a while to get this functional but it is working now!!

Yay, I use dark mode for basically every site that uses it! Also, I noticed that the CAPTCHA prevents logging into TapaTalk. Is there a way to solve this, or should I start saying goodbye to the app?

Edit: NVM, fixed it by making an account on tapatalk
