Hey, everybody!
This is my first post here so do let me know if Im doing anything wrong.
Ive been growing sundews and butterworts for about a year now. When I first got them, fungus gnats around my houseplants provided more than enough food to go around but now, probably because of the cold weather, food has been more scarce. I know that there are alternatives to wild food for pings and Drosera but I got to wondering if it was possible to create a semi contained terrarium set up with a renewing culture of prey (perhaps wingless fruit flies?) built in. Has anyone had experience with this concept?
What are your opinions on the feasibility of raising sundews, pings and perhaps Utricularia in a terrarium with prey insects?
Thanks to every for being such a tremendous resource to me already as I learn more about these amazing plants
