My small vft i got a few months ago started to create spikes on its leaves,is this some kind of secret weapon i don't know about,or is it just a deformation?

Hi!

Are you from the netherlands??
I'm asking because i think i bought a plant from the same company as you. Peat is also growing new moss and mos importantly also has that cool sign on it! I bought mine at Intratuin.
Unfortunately they don't show that behaviour

That is a fairly common mutation that is most frequently seen when the plant isn't receiving enough direct sunlight. From the looks of the leaves on your plant, it is grown indoors or in a low-light location. In full sun, at least on all of the plants I've grown with "toothy petioles" (as some people call it), that mutation doesn't show.

No,I'm currently in the uk,but i would like to visit the Netherlands to visit the main shops of monkeyjars (company)
