Please refer to my previous post "sundew disaster"

It's been 3 weeks and 2 days since my Cape Subdew was destroyed by a rainstorm.
Nothing happening yet with the leaves that are floating in distilled water

It normally takes 4 weeks or so to see a tiny growth bud appear on your floating leaf, and I use a 10x Triplett magnifying to examine it.

Cooler room temperatures will also retard the process.
So don't panic yet.

As always, just my 02¢ worth.

Does that look like a new leaf to you on the root stump. I used a 10x loupe to look at it and it looks like it might be.

Cape Sundews will put out new growth from damaged stems, so the odds are that you're seeing the first signs of it.

I'm happy to repot that the sundew is regrowing nicely. As of today there are 4 leaves emerging from the root stump. In addition I noticed an additional growth poking up from the potting mix. One of the leaves that I have floating in water is also sprouting plantlets.
