Hi all,

I've tried growing some Sarracenia purpurea from seed. Some of them were doing really well, but there was a fairly steep die-off of the plants mid-season, and I'm afraid the ones that looked OK are now in decline, too. (see photos)
These plants stay in a sunny greenhouse, and they are watered with rainwater. I'm in USDA zone 5b.

Any ideas as to what might have caused this? Could it be contagious to other plants?

It’s not aphids that have caused the death they seldom can get to sufficient numbers to do that.
It looks like mineral burn or perhaps drying out, could be some root damaging pest or a pathogen. Did they do into decline very quickly? within days or a slow lingering death? Check the soil PH and TDS if you can that will eliminate a couple of likely candidates.
Cheers
