I’ll add some plant porn to your thread. The D. filiformis Carolina Bay old dock seeds boarderlib sent me germinated in 12 days after a good 6 week stratification.

I'm rolling, though I wished I would've known that about 3 weeks earlierImage. As you can see I got my thumb the day before my index finger.

I'm sure a few of you older members have noticed me popping in a bit lately. Since life is finally settling down some (I hope I didn't just jinx myself) I'm getting to the point where I have some free time so I'll try to pop in occasionally to help out when I can. A couple members just rolled their eyes and said, "awe sh>t not this guy again." And a few members are heating up the popcorn in preparation for the show.Image

For you newer members who don't know me very well, I'm a straight forward person. I don't sugarcoat it, I tell you how it is. I will not give people false hope in my advice. If I chime in on a subject you can take what I say to the bank. I speak from experience and not what I read on Google.

During my hiatus I've been learning as much as I can about sarracenia still. Although I wouldn't say I'm an sarr nerd yet, I'm definitely becoming one. I've also been working a ton as always and trying to take care of my plants in the meantime.

We've "adopted" a third cat now, who has been dubbed Woo Woo. She's another feral that was found under the dock plate at my wife's job. Mort Dawg is still being Mort Dawg, and Isabelle is the same old mean b!@#h, she always was.

I'm also still with NASC, serving my second term as Vice President. So please feel free to contact me about conservation business as I have a little pull in that world.

That's enough for today, since I have more plant stuff to do.

Happy growing!ImageImage

Finally here to spam plants I received from you as I said I would in the past.

Though I didn’t take any individual pics of the clones you generously gave. Here are some seedling pics from today that are doing better than the others I planted at the same time, these are your Dionaea Vigorous x OP cross! Got four little ones in there.

I also made sure to include the baby Sarracenia in the back since I know that’s your thing. I’ll have to share my one flower I had this past year that I never got around to posting on IG...

Hope all’s well with you, your family and fur babies!

Good growing!
Mary

They look great Mary! Nice touch with lining the background with my favorite genus tooImageImage.

Life has been continuing down the same road with lots of traffic jams along the way. I have weeded most of the tropicals out of my life to kind of free up a little more time. I still have a couple neps I keep around, but those will be the only ones I continue to grow, as I plan to focus completely on sarrs, with a few VFT's, and some temperate drosera.
