Hi I am new to this forum. A few days ago on 3rd September I sowed some seed of VTF. Now they are sprouting. But when they grow their first carnivorous leaf it would quite difficult to feed them. If you have any idea how to fertilise them for better growing. I have search most of the threads only one post I have found about liquid guano what is not available here in India. Please share experience.

a lot of US growers use Maxsea which is a seaweed/kelp based fertilizer I mix ours at 1/4th strength and use an eyedropper on small seedlings.

I've seen overseas growers using different brands (Seasol / Powerfeed which are made in Australia are the other two I see mentioned)

depending on your patience you could also use dried blood/mealworms grind to powder, add a drop of water to roll up into a tiny "meatball" no bigger than 1/3 trap size (near impossible when that small still) stimulate trap then massage trap at random for a minute or so after so it thinks it has live prey and seals up properly to begin digesting. this is much easier once the seedlings get larger.

Hi there I am also growing from seeds trying 2 different methods of growing, first is with wet peat moss and the second is with wet tissue, it's 6 days and roots are starting to grow, I'm curious as to how long it takes to grow first leaf or trap from time when first root appears till first leaf or trap?
