Hello, my flytraps are doing very well lots of new traps and growth but now one of them has a flower stalk coming up and im a bit baffled since its mid summer and has been on a 15 hr light cycle since i brought them home. Hoping someone can shed some light on this for me please

I think they love the sunshine, so one of them can make flower stalks. Are you going to collect seeds from it?

You can use a shade cloth to block the night time sun.

No ive already clipped it since i didnt want the growing of the flower to stress out and exhaust the plant nid summer ill try and harvest seeds from the other one after wintering i just thought it was odd that it started a flower mid summer rather than spring

Spring is the major time for flowering but I've had some VFT's send up random flower stalks at all times of the year, even in the fall right before dormancy!

If you're growing them inside then they don't know what time of year it is.

Where are you located? Because it's not mid summer anywhere.
