hey guys,
Aprox 1 month ago I sowed VFT seeds although nothing sprouted yet.
The soil mixture was that of peat and perlite and also I kept them into a plastic bag with holes for oxygen ...
I must’ve done something wrong did I ?;(

Thanks :)

Mine usually germinate in about 4 weeks. But this is under constant temps and using grow lights.

I don't bag for humidity.

Germination depends on light, temps, and freshness of seeds.

It can take anywhere between 4 and 8 weeks. Sometimes longer.

Give it time.

There are one or two weed seedlings in there, but I think most of the little bitty ones just coming up look about right?

I can see them. Congrats. The hard part now is keeping them alive and growing. I fail at that part.

Too hot. Too cold. Too dry. Too wet. Too much sun. Not enough sun. Getting buried or washed away by erosion if I leave them uncovered. Algae/moss/mold if I cover them.

I can start out with a bunch of seedlings and they eventually all die off. Unlike the adult VFT's there is no rhizome to give the plant a second or third chance to come back if conditions are not perfect. When seedlings are dead they are dead.

Having said that I will try again this year with more seed from my plants because why not.
