Just checking my plants as per usual when for the first time it struck me as to how large some of the traps are on my typicals. Its possible they are a special cultivar but I got them at a garden store so I assume they are just regular flytraps. Never had traps this large until now. My bug bat has had a big growth spurt this year and I’m very pleased! Anybody want some capillaris seeds? Looks like I’ve got some healthy blooms despite two aphid attacks. When they are ready I will probably give some away. Over all everyone is looking good! Sorry for blurriness, I am no photographer.

They are just typicals.

For some reason people think that typicals are colorless, small, slow growing and weak. That isn't the case.

Nice plants. You may have solved a mystery for me! I got a lovely pitcher from a lady in town last year and she said it was an S. minor cross but didn’t really know. I think it may be a bug bat after seeing your picture. It did bloom this year and the flowers are making it look even more likely.

You for sure have a bug bat. A nice looking one at that! Mine hasn’t bloomed and I doubt it will this year but your blooms are looking fantastic.

i got a bug bat this march i really love how they look. it was copper when i got it two weeks of full sun and such a nice red started showing.
