Some people who live in tropical countries up root their plants and put the m in the refrigerator for the winter. I live in Australia where it is summer at the moment. We are in the middle of a heat wave weree it has been over Foruty degrees centegrade for the last four or five days. It is hot now but in winter temps can be around 5 to 1 degrees centigrade which enables the plants to go through dormancy.
Hope this helps, Pat :D

Yeah they dont have a dormancy period so they grow preaty much all year round. Nepenthes are relatively easy to grow if you have the ight setup.

For Venus Fly Traps, pitcher plants, or sundews, you can do a refrigerator dormancy if you're in a warm place. As I understand it, all nepenthes are tropical, so they don't need a dormancy. It seems like it would be best to grow them if you lived in a hot place.

Really??? I thought only the "Tropical" part makes them live in hot places! I learned something new... Most wouldn't be labled as "Tropical."
