This thread is to keep updates of the Sarracenias I keep. I only have a few right now and all of them were bought earlier this year from Mike Wang.
Leucophylla Red AxB Select clone, Franklin County, FL - I received this plant in the mail on March 29 earlier this year. It seems this plant is a real sulker. The pitcher in the photo is the only pitcher it has produced so far and it just opened 2 days ago. The plant was shipped bare-root with all the foliage cut off except for a growing flower stalk, which I also promptly cut off after I potted the plant. Before this pitcher, all it has ever produced were phyllodia since I received it. Hopefully next season will be great for the plant! This is how I received the leucophylla - freshly potted. Purpurea venosa, Tattnall County, GA - This plant has been an amazing and vigorous grower. I really love the veiny look and the very ruffly hoods. This is how I received the plant on March 24 earlier this year - Just waking up from winter dormancy. Rubra ancestral, Marion County, GA - An opportunistic spider built its web along the mouth of a pitcher. This plant was a freebie from Mike.
