Hi guys,
I was thinking where is the best place to keep carnivorous plants..
Is it outside or in a greenhouse /dome?
What is your opinion? :)

Thanks in advance. :D

I keep my flytaps outside year round. It's mostly because I live in a part of North Carolina that's only a few short hours from their native habitat.

I've been told domes are counter productive to flytrap health thus doing more harm than good. I don't grow other species of CPs so I don't know about their humidity requirements.

The main idea is that you want to give them full sun, and warm temperatures for a large part of the year, and then a dormancy thatbdoesnt really go below freezing. Depending on where you live a greenhouse would be the best case scenario, but you can also just grow them like other potted plants outside and then take extra precautions in the winter.

The only benefit of having a green house for me is i could extend the growing season and start it a bit earlier.

Other than that they would be outside.
