Starting off at $85, this is a gallon pot with two Drosera Magnifica each roughly five and a half inches tall, one of which has already produced one basal growth point which I separated several months ago. They are fast growers have been much easier (for me) than some of the early reports that were circulated when they first entered cultivation. These plants originated out of TC from BCP and do extremely well in highland conditions using the tray watering method. I can ship them bare root or potted depending on the winners preferece, shipping will depend on final package weight and your location. I will start the bidding off at one dollar, and end the auction on Tuesday of next week at 8 pm, if payment is received immediately I will ship the following morning so that the plants are delivered by the end of the week. If you have any questions about the plants themselves or my growing conditions feel free to ask.

edited to remove my disappointment in the largest sundew species. The plants for auction look great. I wish they grew faster

Be nice.
At maturity Drosera magnifica gets very large.
It grows a scrambling stem that can be over 4 feet long.
It is the largest Drosera in the Americas.
The plant is not a rapid grower so all the plants in cultivation are still very young juveniles.

I edited my post. Those big magnifica look nice, but I thought they were supposed to get wider than D. regia, no?

They have leaves that top out at about a foot. Regia can get leaves two feet long. Magnifica has the largest stem of all the sundews, at about 120cm at the longest. Gigantea in the wild take up the most volume.
In short, magnifica has the biggest stem, regia has the longest leaves, gigantea takes up the most sheer volume.

It is a newer species and it gets tall. It can be finicky to raise I hear. I would not say it’s rare though. Some Drosera are really hard to find but only cost $20 or less. People like to keep prices high though.

My bid is $1

Um, no. This species is one of the biggest, rarest, and most beautiful. Not very many people grow them to look this good. Not to mention there's two of them.
