So, there's a lot going on in this pic. My first flytrap from seed in the foreground. A dew eating a spider stupid enough to be in my house in the middle. A second spider being eaten in the back. It's the dew in the back, the one with the red stem, that I'd like to call your attention to.

I know it's still small, but any guesses on the species?
The leaves seem to come from the stem, not a central point like a Cape or many other dews.

I'd say a young capensis. You will have to wait to find out for sure.

That's kind of what I was thinking, too. My other choice was a madagascariensis, but it doesn't quite look like one.

I don't think it could be a Madagascariensis since its leafs would be perfectly round, even very young, and they're not on this pic.
