I'd like to mention that I think it can be kept a bit more wet than other Mexican pings during the winter, as it doesn't form succulent leaves.

What does it form then? And does it need dryness in winter?

The leaves get a bit smaller, and you should keep it damp/moist all the time. But it shouldn't sit in water for a long time.

Gigantea is very easy, give it a nice open growing mix, good amount of light, water it once in a while and you're all set.

I received a plant with a four inch diameter last fall. My p. gigantea are waking up from their 'dormancy', and the same one looks to have grown to a 5-6 inch leaf diamiter. Also, in December I took leaf pullings from the gigantea and one of the plants is already 2 inches wide!
