Hi, I just harvested some Drosera capillaris "long leaf" seeds recently and I sprinkled them on dead sphagnum moss with water tray below. After few days I don't see any roots or growth. I'm curious how long it usually takes for it to germinate? I know this wasn't necessary but I just wanted to make sure it is viable. Oh I forgot to mention that the flowers never opened (I'm certain). I will add a screenshot below to show the maximum limit of the flower.

4 - 6 weeks is usually how it takes for germination of Drosera seeds.

Can I put the seedlings in direct sunlight? Even before it germinates?

Sure, sunlight and the warmth it brings might speed things up.
Take a look at your seeds under a good magnifying glass, 10X or better.
Compare them to the picture at ICPS seed image page for D. capillaris.

If they're not viable, they will probably be smaller and anemic looking.

I still see no signs of germination, the seeds can be hardly seen too. I realized when I sprinkle them on sphagnum moss they become grey coloured. Today I harvested a Drosera indica seed pod and the amount of seeds are unexpectedly less. Some flowers even withered away without producing seeds.

Seeds can take years to germinate for Drosera although it usually takes about a month. I have a D. rubrifolia and had a D. filiformis which germinated from seeds in a pot I originally bought 4 years before. Just wait and they will most likely germinate. I have some D capensis seeds which are taking a long time.
