I have peat moss that contains some fertilizer in it, should I soak it in water to dissolve the nutrients? I believe the peat I have is highly decomposed peat, as it is super black. Strangely, I can easily wet it with water. So I guess the seller added some wetting agents? I am planning to sow Drosera indica seeds in that peat moss, so I wonder if it is necessary to do that.

It will take a insane amount of washing and soaking to get the nutrients out of the peat moss. And there will probably be still be trace amounts of nutrients in the peat which will lead to your plant’s death.

Personally, I would not deal with the risk and start with fert-free peat moss.

I'm going to echo the others. It's probably far more work than its worth to try to clean fertilizer out of peat.

The fertilizer content is very little, I think it labelled 250mg / litre nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus. I checked the peat moss today and noticed that the washed ones turned brown color after drying out.

Keep in mind that some fertilizers are time-released, so soaking and rinsing to remove fertilizer will be limited by the nature of the fertilizer. You have been given good advice by the previous posters.

Alright, thanks I won't use that kind of peat Moss in my carnivorous plants medium. I noticed that mosses did not like it, maybe it's a low quality peat moss compared to the high quality one I got from Daiso. Long fibered sphagnum moss is always the best medium for carnivorous plants I guess.
