I never thought typicals can show so much color! Where do you grow them? :D and what media do you prefer?
I grow indoors under LED lighting with a few CFLs. I use LFM because it provides good insulation around the rhizome, it's easy to work with, and it's easy to dig into the pot and extract any decaying roots/leaves.

I fell to collecting this last August. The ones in the big pot.... well... I fell asleep on the couch and my cat ate them in October, pretty much down to the rhizomes. One of the tiny ones is a jaws division. The jaws is in the white cup, I bought it during dormancy. The two in the black pots, I bought this morning. I don't think they ever went into dormancy, I don't know if it'll be too late to force them into a dormancy now. I think my jaws is coming out of his dormancy early. I work really long hours and at night my husband kept forgetting to turn the lights off for nearly a month. I don't know if they'll go back to sleep, but here they are. I've got a purple ambush and a few others on order. Can't wait. ImageImageImageImageImage

Hey cross if your planning on continue growing your plants indoors during summer you should invest in more or stronger lighting. Your plants are fine ,but they look like they are losing color and while they will still grow under those conditions I'm sure you would be much more satisfied when your plants are lighter colored and have an abundant amount of pigmentation. The thing with indoor lighting the closer the better. Walmart has 1550 lumens 5K led bulbs for like 4-5$. Get something that has atleast 1500 lumens and don't get CFLs get led cuz you want to be able to put them pretty close to your plants plus LEDs are less wattage so cheaper to operate.

Thanks! I've been looking to replace the cfls, but I wasn't sure which LEDs. Do you know if they'll fit in those desk lamps? I bought two of them just recently and hate to shell out a bunch more on fixtures.
