I’ve always wanted to grow a Venus flytrap, I got some seeds for christmas. I’m really really new to growing things in general, these popped up the other day and they don’t look like other people’s pictures I’ve seen. Are these fly traps ? If they aren’t what should I do ?

There are some nice people here along with some good information.

It usually takes 4 - 6 weeks for Fly Trap seeds to germinate.
How long have yours been sitting?

I'd suggest going to the seed bank to get guaranteed flytrap seeds. There are a LOT of scam sellers out there, unfortunately.
Also, those seedlings are etiolated- stretched. They weren't getting enough light. If you don't have enough light for regular seeds, you definitely don't have enough for flytraps!
