the hygrometry of the air and the humidity of the substrate, are in my opinion 2 different things in culture.
Aeration, very important too.

for dormancy too much moisture from the subtrate can lead to decay.
on the other hand a hygrometry of the important air with a good ventilation has no consequence.

how is your plant , now ?
I am expecting death soon. I will try again next year I guess Image

It doesn’t look good. What you might try is seeing if you can salvage some of the leaves. If you pull them and get some clean ends (i.e. no rot where they were connected to the central stem), just lay them with that end touching the substrate —no need to bury it— and you might get some baby plants from those. I’m doing the same with a plant someone gave me that was largely rotted away. I ended up with exactly one leaf...but it’s surviving!

Bonjour

I am of the same opinion as BOB, for my part I no longer use a substrate for leaf cuttings. I simply use a petri dish with a damp absorbent paper, I put the sheet on it and I await the arrival of bulblets. I plant it when the old leaf is completely dry (in fact when the bulbils have completely absorbed the nutrients of this one)

but you also have to review all your growing conditions to know what's happening, and not make the same mistakes

you are from what country ? do you have the possibility to take them outside from May to October ?
