Emarginata mystery hybrid

by Tryner78 » Tue Dec 04, 2018 4:37 am

I bought my first butterwort about two months ago from Sarracenia Northwest. Packaging was flawless, plant arrived in healthy condition, started up right away. A week or so ago it flowered, and revealed that it was not a pure Emarginata. What do you guys think it is a hybrid of?

As Jeff said, a picture of the front of the flower is more helpful. At a glance it looks like a hybrid of agnata and emarginata.

Could it also be Emarginata X cyclosteca? I'll get a sharper photo soon.

here are some more pictures of the new flower.Whatever it is, it is pretty vigorous! I can see another flower stalk forming as this new flower blooms. It seems to have slightly swept forward petals, as shown by another angle. Image
