Hello people! I just got my first Sundew last Saturday! I was so happy that I got it. I got the Cape Sundew aka Drosera capensis. These Sundews are very easy to care, and don't require dormancy and that's why I got them, plus their awesome...Right? So I will show you guys the picture of them, and would you mine if you guys give me some tips? That will mean a lot to me. And one question...They have dew on them, but won't eat. Is that normal? Thanks! :D

The species, D. capensis, is very easy to grow. It is notorious for becoming a weed in large collections. Here are some tips for you:

Light: As much as possible.
Water: Sitting in a tray 1 inch full of water is fine.
Humidity: Doesn't matter for the most part, try not to get below 20%.
Feeding: Occasionally feed a bug.
Fertilization: Not necessary and will probably kill the plant.
Soil: A 50:40:10 peat, perlite, sand mix works well for me.
Outdoors: Doesn't like long freezes, but may work in a summer-only bog garden.
Dormancy: This species is not a fan of long freezes as I mentioned before, but will form a resting bud if light decreases and temps drop although it is not a requirement.

The variety you look like you have is called 'Alba' and has no red pigment with white flowers. I would not worry about the not eating issue. It is probably acclimating to it's surroundings. Hope this helps!

Ah! Thank you so much! I will follow you steps one by one, and in a week or so this plant will grow pretty fast and it's already adapting to it's new home. And again thanks! :D
