I would say white plastic pots are better (black ones can get a bit too hot). Clay can leach minerals into the soil so it's generally not recommended unless you get one where the entire pot is glazed.

i recently repotted my vft and i noticed some of its older leaves going black. i'm thinking it experienced some stress in the process and i'm hoping it recovers quickly - w/c seems like it's doing.

i hope its new plastic pot home will be as good as its former paper cup like housing.

btw, at what age do they begin to produce flowers?
