I've received seeds for Dionaea Muscipula, Serracenia Leucophylla and Droseras Capensis. I live in So California and it's early October. I know my Serracenias and VFTs will be going dormant in another month I'm thinking so am wondering when do I plant? Is cold stratification needed and if so, how long? I've read up on different methods which only made my brain hurt so any advice would be wonderful. Thanks in advance!

Your VFT and D.capensis seeds don't need anything. Just sow them on top your well rinsed medium.cover and put them under some lighting You can use LFSM or peat/sand or perlite mix. The Sarracenia seeds I just sow them on wet peat/sand in a pot 50/50 mix. Then I put the pot with the seeds in a baggie, pop it in the refrigerator for 6-8 weeks. Then take it out and grow like the others..
