I'd bought some seeds from ebay 6-8 months ago. Plant them into mix of perlite, peat moss and sphagnum. Using mineral water and full spectrum light.
The problem is that they are still very small after 6-8 months and look baby ! Is it normal ? if not, what shall I do to boost their growth ?

It's normal but do not use mineral water! Distilled, reverse osmosis or rain water only.

Flytraps grow slowly from seed — that’s normal. You could feed them to speed up growth, but that’s kind of a pain.

It takes 3-5 years for VFT's to become adult plants.

You can speed it up by feeding them but it's a massive pain.

Personally i enjoy feeding my plants, but thats just me. If you wanna give that a go id advise you to go to petco and by the reptile area they have a can of mealworms that arent all dried up and you can feed them to your plant right out of the can no hydrating needed. They work great and are an excellent source of nitrogen for your plants. Just cut them up to the right size for the trap your feeding and thats it.

Also how hard is that media packed down you are using? It could be an illusion, but maybe its packed too hard and your roots can't develop properly.

Growing them inside is going to also slow them down. You would be amazed at what they can catch outside on their own.

Thanks mate, but they're very small. How can I feed them while traps cannot get closed

If your traps wont close after touching the trigger hairs you have shocked the plant too much by like letting it get too dry or something like that.

Traps sometimes wont close for all kinds of reasons. Its nothing to worry about.

Also make sure that you're not feeding them food that is too big for them. I've found that mine won't close if the bug is too big.
