Hi. I just found this small little plantlet growing in the sphagnum moss I bought. I just transferred it to a new pot. I was wondering if this is another hitchhiker together with the other droseras I found. Thanks in advance... and any tips on what kind pf substrate to use for pings, in case it is really a pinguicula?

Kind of hard to see honestly because it’s blurred. Do you see tiny drops on the leaves? It seems healthy so let it grow a bit.

I am not so sure with the substrate though. I am using a conventional drosera peat mix (1:1:1 peat:perlite:quartz sand) and unsure if this is ok with a ping too... any comments?

Thanks!

in fact it depends on the species if it is a temperate like P. vulgaris subsp vulgaris this substrate suits him very well

your sphagnum comes from which supplier ?
Ohh ok.. i am getting my plants from gruene–monster.de. It is a german–based CP supplier.

Thanks for the note. How long does it usually develop? I am kinda excited!

if it is a temperate actually outdoor they are in hibernaculae ,so growth stopped.

I think that in your case 2-3 years to have an adult plant will be necessary
Yes. Majority of my plants including the sphagnum were from that supplier.

I checked their selection of pings too. They have both temperate and tropical pings. Hahaha. So i am not so sure about this tiny little creature.
