I live in Eastern NC. I have 29 separately planted VFTs all in the same medium, receiving the same amount of sunlight, distilled/rain water, etc. When I got my XL last fall, i was disappoint because it was small and did not meet my expectations. I was told to have patience and this spring, WOW, the thing exploded in size and exceeded my expectations. Now it seems to be going dormant. Is it too early? All my other VFT, especially the B52s are still growing like crazy. Even some of my Lowe specials need bigger pots now. Today I split and replanted the XL in new moss and hoping they are just dormant and will explode in growth next spring again. There is no mold or anything to indicate I am killing them. Just a big difference between this spring and now. Any other XL owners seeing the same thing? This sight has been very helpful.
