Sweet! My only sundew, a burmannii 'Humpty Doo' via hollyhock, has launched a flower stalk. Awaiting the first open bloom.

Burmannii don’t stay open for long and they’re open in the morning. Hope you manage to catch them open — they’re actually pretty nice.

Far out! I have gotten to see my D. burmannii "All Green" bloom. They only last for an hour if that!

Thanks for that! I wasn't aware they like the mornings, it just so happened when I'd look at them so I was able to catch it. Never correlated the two. Lol.

No problem. When my burmannii bloom, they’re usually closed by 10:00am.

While it’s not a bloom, one of my my burmannii has a bifurcating flower stalk this time around. It happens every now and again with my plants and I always think it’s neat.

Neat! I didn't known it wasn't normal? I noticed that on my spatulata, the one pictured actually and again, didn't think anything of it. Is it natural for binata "t-form"? Flower stalk branched a few months back and figured since the plant split, so did the stalk!

It really, really depends on the strain/clone. My spatulata only rarely (probably <10% of the time) put out bifurcated stalks. Likewise with my burmannii. But a tokaiensis I had when I first got into the hobby literally never put out a steak that wasn’t bifurcated.

I think it’s pretty normal for the binata-complex.
