Zowie! That must be a fresh shipment.

I don't visit Walmart, but did so this summer after getting bitten by the flytrap bug (ha). That store did have flytraps, but they were so strung out and ropey that I only purchased two. None of the tubes were anything like what you have. Nice.

My Walmart specials had nice coloring like that when I first got them. Sadly 3 years later and I never got a repeat performance.

Possibly need more light intensity? The two outside get some shade and have faded. The other one is so close to the t8 bulb that it’s touching and it is as red as ever.

Yes. More light. And I am learning that a night time temperature drop from 90s into the 70s is likely the reason my fly traps are redder than some people's traps who live in areas where the temps go over 100F.
And some Maxsea fertilizer brings the color out, but I wouldn't use it now. It's too hot. Wait til temps are in 60s to 70s.
