Now that these plants are older, the differences in growth habit between D. spatulata ‘Tamlin’ and D. spatulata — Beenak, Vic., Aus. are striking. They looked pretty similar when they were younger, but now they’re obviously different.
‘Tamlin’: Beenak: See how upright the ‘Tamlin’ leaves are? They only started doing that once they got more than like 8 months old or so, and it fits the cultivar description nicely. They aren’t big yet, but they’ve flowered a lot. Meanwhile, the Beenak plants are flatter and have a less red look to the leaves.
